Privacy policy

This policy covers the Word Walk mobile app and website at wordwalk.300s.link (together, “the app”). It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: orglobalng@gmail.com.

What we collect

You can read studies and play the games without an account. Then nothing is stored about you except standard server logs, and your notes stay on your device.

What we don’t do

We don’t show ads, sell your data, share it with advertisers, or track you across other apps and websites.

How we use it

Only to run the app: to sign you in, keep your notes and progress in sync between your phone and the website, schedule flashcard reviews, send the notifications you’ve turned on, and keep the service secure.

Who processes it

Your data is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in London, UK). The website and API run on Vercel. Push notifications are delivered through Expo and, from there, Google or Apple. These providers process data on our behalf and only to provide their service.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, your notes, progress, game results, flashcard schedule and notification tokens are deleted straight away. Backups held by our database provider expire on their normal schedule.

Your choices

Children

The app isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
